    Hello,

I just swapped to the other side and am completely lost. I had an JB iPhone before but everything is different. Can you guys answer some questions tailored to the One. Which is worth the wait :)

    1. Is Root and SuperUser like Admin Acess on a PC?
    2. Can you OTA a rooted phone?
    3. Will rooting delete all data on the phone?
    4. What mail and texting App do you recommend?
    5. Would you recommend a glass screen protector?
    6. Anything that i should know about android comming to iOS. besides having freedom in customizing:)

And i will be giving out the invites whenever i get them

    Thanks Guys

    1. Yes root will give you access to system files.

    2. Depends on the rom your using some have ota some don't as for cm not sure.

    3. Rooting won't but bootloader unlock will and flashing rooms you should.

    4. I use cloudmagic

    5. Depends on your preferences I used one and like it.

    6. If you are going to get into flashing rooms make sure you do a nandroid backup before wiping and flashing incase of a bad flash

    1. Yes
    2. As long as you don't make any system changes
    3. Only if you do it right... You want to unlock your bootloader and install a custom recovery if your rooted. Rooting a phone with a locked bootloader and stock recovery is stupid IMO, its possible, but dangerous and I would never recommend it to anyone. Unlocking the bootloader wipes your data.
    4. Hangouts/gmail.
    5. Yes especially with the OPO, its been proven to be quit fragile.
    6. I recommend you read the custom android guide in my signature for more info about root/android software.

    Welcome to the dark side.:p
