Any news from OPO Development team as to when all OPO customers can expect Android N official OTA on their device? Eagerly waiting for its launch on OPO certainly.

So does that mean all OPO users had Marshmallow as the last OTA and device won't move ahead to nougat? If this is true, its a shame as we have been the most loyal customers this far for OPO who trusted a novices company for their devices when no one trusted them.

    Would you agree?

if the snapdragon 801 could drive Android N, then oneplus Should certainly update opo to N. regarding loyalty, opo really has have had a great run with the official update till date. I don't think neither cyanogen nor oneplus would roll out an official update of N. the relationship between cyanogen and oneplus is already screwed and cyanogen was obligated to update opo to M because of the agreement and oneplus history with the oxygen OS is pretty bad actually. so, unofficial is the only way!

Also the OPO can run it, but it can't pass Google's CTS for Android, because of unsupported features, because Qualcomm only wants to release a few drivers needed, if a lot of OEMs pay, what the OEMs don't want to do (iirc).

    Based on?
EDIT: Do you know about the report function? there is no need to tag a mod anymore, just use the report button and provide a valid reason.

As said, the soc isnt supported for OFFICIAL Android 7.
That means only unofficial ROM will be ported with less performance than any supported soc.

There will be, but probably only bugfixes and security patches. if you don t like this, feel free to contact Qualcomm ,since this is the correct place to complain. As soon as they will release drivers to their customers, as soon there will be an OFFICIAL android nougat for the One and the X. I remember similar situation some years ago regarding linux drivers for Nividia AMD and several WIFI products. (Just search for Linus thorvalds legendary "F*** you, nvidia" in youtube. If the community will push enough pressure to the manufacturers, there may be some change...

I think cyanogen should be the one requesting that if they were interested.

Don t think so. Cyanogen Inc and Cyanogenmod are not in the position, since they aren t the hardware customers. Phone manufacturers and all the people, who have bought the hardware are the customers of Qualcomm. It s up to the community.

Frankly I don't see any technical reason which would stop 801 SoCs from receiving Nougat update. It seems Google's requirement for high speed encryption has become a bottleneck for 801 SoCs. So the only future which I can foresee is unofficial ROMs.
