I just did another clean install and everything works fine before magisk is flashed. On 16.6 after rooting, google apps stop working like chrome, gmail, and connecting to servers. Tried magisk core mode only and that did not work. Back to regular DP3 with no root and all apps including chrome working fine.

i installed locally, rebooted, phone went into recovery,, wiped everything as that was the only way it'd let me reboot the phone, now it looks exactly the same abd Google lens still doesn't work lending me to believe something went wrong. I'll try again.

I'd second that - it's high time OnePlus thought of the normal update path with no data wipe [e]1f601[/e]

They didn't ruin anything. Also, it's a developer preview, you knew it looks like this, so you could have stayed with Stable OOS 5.1.9 which is the same UI as the pixel phones.

Instead of being rude, give normal feedback with arguments so OnePlus can actually do something with it.

The recent app screen is almost the same idea as Google has made. So blame Google if you don't like it :p

yeah after a few hours of use the only problems i've noticed is stability in some apps and the choppy home gesture, had to disable gestures for now.
Also the new resents ui is neat though i would have preferred it going from right to left instead of left to right.

    But definitely daily driver material.

Glad to see this actually looks like Android P now Much nicer.

However, can we please have the option of using the native Android P gestures?

Not anymore. Maybe because I've installed the latest Pixel Launcher.

I've found a bug. I can't seem to skip in YouTube videos to where I want. I can skip only if I drag the red dot, but not if I click someone on the red line.

It doesn't let me add my card on P. Might be related to too many re-adds in too less time or something. Like a security issue when you re-enroll your card 3 times a day. For me, doesn't work at the moment

Exactly. I think they will offer updated gestures soon, now that the way is paved with a new recents logic (swiping left to right instead of up and down)

if you want your op6 to look like a pixel..Then you should have bought a pixel! op are going to add their skin to android p. Thankfully it's very light and customisable. Like I said if your not happy sell it and get the Google phone...
personally I love OnePlus take on android p!

    well-done OnePlus!

NO it doesn't need to look like pixel but should keep android P style. Everywhere where the android in 'untouched' you can see nice animation, smooth transitions between windows, menus etc. Anything done by OP still uses old 6.0 style. And the whole point of getting OP was the almost clear android experience otherwise we would go for Galaxy s9 with crappy Samsung TouchWiz.

I hope we will finally get fully black theme with white text and white icons in Android 9 ??
    and vibration control ??
and Google camera app fully functional ??

but very little hope is left after so many years of extremely poor development from Google team.
