Gary C. , Jul 30, 2018 : Hi everyone, Including our camera improvements and the latest Android security patch, the OxygenOS 5.0.4 update for OnePlus 3 and 3T was released worldwide last week. Since it was launched, we've been listening to questions asking about our next major update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T. After internal discussions and evaluation, we have decided to focus our development resources on the Android P project instead of upgrading the device to Android 8.1, so that we can offer more exciting features and improvements for our OnePlus 3 and 3T users. Over the past few months, we have been working closely with Google on the Android P Beta program. Thanks to everyone’s participation and continued feedback, the progress we have made together has been greatly accelerated. The Android P update will be available on the OnePlus 6, OnePlus 5/T and OnePlus 3/3T, in this order. We will keep you all updated in the coming months. Cheers, Gary
Manu J. , Mar 22, 2019 : Hey everyone, We have been hard at work baking that sweet pie, to ensure it tastes delicious we'd like to invite some of you to taste it first and make sure it's ready to serve it to the rest of the community. Being part of Closed Beta testing will require flashing builds very often and sometimes a clean flash is needed, which might cause data loss. Fancy being a tester? Please apply HERE. Applications open till 2 pm GMT 23/3/2019.
SoniaB , Mar 27, 2019 : The leaks are everywhere now and no way of controlling it. What I will say is this: If people are stupid enough to flash a build without knowing what the known issues are, no way of reporting said issues and also no way of knowing best way to downgrade then on them so be it. Also, if they go through the unfortunate event of bricking their device whilst flashing a leaked build, then guess what, no unbrick tool available. Enjoy your paperweights. Pinned post for visibility
superplus , Jul 30, 2018 : Wow that is great news! I for one never would've expected P on my 3 Thanks!
youbi , Jul 30, 2018 : Glad to see that the new trend of great support (that started with the op3/t) is still here and that you guys are pushing hard to show how things should be done.
rarog , Jul 30, 2018 : Nice plan, definitely better to have 9.0 than 8.1. Will the release feature Treble or not?
Harp3rBoy , Jul 30, 2018 : Brilliant news!! It's good to see that the OP 3/3T will get the latest version of Android, good on you OnePlus!!
Harp3rBoy , Jul 30, 2018 : treble doesn't really matter as it won't receive future upgrades after P regardless?
Cheetosdust , Jul 30, 2018 : Thank you @Gary C. - awesome news! My sweet prince lives on - I'm talking about my OnePlus 3 not @Manu J. Or maybe I'm talking about both?
