The biggest difference being, that OP6 shipped with Android 8, meaning it supports project treble. Which makes device updates so much faster. Both OP3 (T) and 5(T) shipped with Android 6/7 meaning it does not support it and updates are harder. Especially if OnePlus wants to incorporate Project Treble into the update as it did with some beta on OP5(or T?)

Who knows what it'll be called, does it matter?

Not a rookie at all, just highlighting the stupidity of the post I replied to.

But, if I remember well, there was a problem with the processor as well, so the OP2 Nougat upgrade was failed. If this was a lie, the OP lost a lot of users, like me as well

The processor on the OP2 was S**t But that wasn't the reason and it was under 2 years old. Just poor service.

Whatever the reason, and here isn't the place to drag it up yet again, we should judge OnePlus on their current actions so let's hold judgements whilst P is still promised.

    Just read this:
    https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/10/17/oneplus-6t-pricing-storage-ram-and-color-variants-leaked/
Fresh information reveals that the OnePlus 6T will be hitting India in three models. The base model of the phone includes 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage. It is likely to carry a pricing of Rs. 37,999 (~$516) and may come in Mirror Black color only.

The second model of the OnePlus 6T is expected to feature 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of inbuilt storage. It is expected to cost Rs. 40,999 (~$557) and may arrive in two colors namely Mirror Black and Midnight Black.

The highest configuration edition of the OnePlus 6T is tipped to include 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. It may cost Rs. 44,999 (~$611) and may arrive in single color option of Midnight Black. If the leak turns out to be true, there won’t be any 64 GB variant for the OnePlus 6T at its launch.

But that doesn't explain why it's also delayed for the OP5/5T when it's already got Project Treble, although it was reported this weekend that P Treble only accelerates updates by a month at most, not months anyway.

If you're going to waste your time posting "fake news" at least post something which makes some sense without a number of spelling mistakes!!

Think it is the most appropriate place. If OP don't like it they can delete me or start treating their customers better. People should know their track record.

Ok, can you please tell us all what promises have OnePlus reneged on since the whole OP2 debacle?

Couldn't tell you! after the op2 debacle I took my hard earned money elsewhere and put it in the pocket of someone that hasn't reneged on their promises

That's a dwindling.pool, HTC screwed me over on desire hd updates, Samsung with the sgs3 update fiasco, Sony's glacial update policy left my z2 on lollipop when the OP3 was getting nougat, Huawei killing bootloader unlocking.

5/5T DO NOT have project treble. These were introduced with Android 7, but treble is A8 thingy... so no Treble there. As I said, only in beta channel, there was treble introduced, but I'm not sure, if it will make it to stable release, as what I heard upgrading phones to treble is kind of troublesome...
It was actually one of the reasons I did not upgrade to 5/5T, as no Treble is dealbreaker when it comes to update.

In what way?, benefit of treble to end user is fairly negligible.

Thank you for your most educational post , I can see exactly where your coming from.
