The OnePlus 3 was the reason that OnePlus shot to limelight and became a true worldwide competitor among smartphone companies, it's kind of their responsibility to support the phone with software updates for as long as they can. So it's great that the android P update will be coming to the phone. I must say the OnePlus 3 might be one of the few phones to receive three consecutive major android software updates.

This will go a long way to keeping old customers of OP3/T and attract new one's.

Great effort, thanks OP for the great incentive and continued support!!

this news makes me happy but also they get my repect....currently i am using op3 and i am thinking to shift 2 zenfone 5z because of price difference of op6 , but now i make my mind that i will move 2 op6t when they launch , because i really appreciate how they remember their old customers

Let me make a point with some clarity. OnePlus 2 wasn't a failure to serve its life. It's a failure coz it couldn't reach our expectations and we mocked the company for that after releasing a super hit in their first attempt, the OnePlus One.

It wasn't a failure as it would go boom in your hands like the infamous note or battery bulges like the xiaomi's. It just couldn't deliver to meet our highest expectations. It still is a good phone.

Infact I bought 3T after being impressed by the 2's performance. I've checked the 2 my colleague owns and that's lot better than the HTC I owned 2 years ago.

@Baymax don't you think 2 isn't an enough failure to be replaced? I believe it just failed to beat the benchmarks.

This is such a wonderful news getting this kind of support from the Op team is incredible being a oneplus user feels really good and gives me faith and blv to keep on continuing with the brand. This will help maintain customers trust to use op devices on the long run and create a good brand image. Good to see atleast op listening to their customers their community people let's see if they can keep on with this if they do it will really cement Oneplus the brand very well in the industry and wl help create a separate legacy for the brand and loyalty amongst users and those that are new to invest in buying a op device.

I just want to know that why Oneplus has not released the OS upgrade in Oneplus 2 like other devices.
