Flashing closed beta was unnecessary, I actually signed up to be part of the program and considering it's as stable as 5.0.8 was, it's almost ready at this point.

Closed beta was unnecessary, I have no bugs to report. Others may find some issues, but it's no different than any other android version stable release.

I don't want to say any predictions, but saying that it'll arrive in April is a pretty reasonable prediction since everything is stable enough.

Waiting waiting waiting and waiting........ This is frustating, OP should not announce it on july 18... 9 months passed.....
And now afteres releasing beta there is no word for final date when stable build will be avilable to OTA.

You can say subjective, it just subjectively happens quite often on OP's And as i said missing elements of the UI has also been seen on other updates.
So it would seem you udont keep yourself up to date period. Oreo had standard bits missing on its arrival,( in too much of a hurry)

Why do you say I, I, I, read your ota's, OP don't keep repeating themselves because there isn't an issue.

Right now their only bet is Oxygen OS. Its just the software that keeps all the enthusiasts on OnePlus devices even though the price hikes. The day there is a great alternative to Oxygen OS, its the endgame.
On the contrary, not close to stock but the One UI on S10e "seems" quite good with the hardware it provides. Might wait for a month or two when the price drops and is similar to a Oneplus... It ll be a great package. Also this is just my opinion and anyone is free to disagree than to bash. Thank you :)

I actually believe S10e is a great option seeing the price point. I think the OP7 would be priced very close to S10e and if Samsung provides clean software and guaranteed updates, many will prefer the S10e over OP7 because Samsung has wireless charging and reverse wireless charging like the Mate 20 Pro, something that OP7 won't have (according to Pete Lau himself).

Yes, battery backup has been an issue for all the OP devices after the pie updates. I have a 5/5T/6 as well and all of them are facing battery drain issues. Similar was the case when my 3T received oreo but then a few bug fixes by OP and some permission settings did the job and now i dont face the same. Sadly it didnt work for the other devices.

They really nailed the essentials on that one. Great camera, good quality display, premium build, headphone jack for god sake! Wireless charging although not necessary is still good to have, And the UI seems to be optimised as well. The only question is the official software support which we need to wait and see. No gimmicks like the optical in display fingerprint scanner or the unnecessary pop up camera which no one asked for. Speaking of no one asked for, their own poll showed that no one wanted to remove the jack but they did it anyways.

Exactly. 3.5 mm jack, IP68 dust/water proof, wireless charging. It does come with just 3100 mAh battery, so battery backup that remains to be seen. But everything else is on point. Get it on a sale/discounted price and it's totally worth it. OP has to come up with some serious selling points on future phones to prevent OP customers from shifting to Samsung. One Plus is a great brand, but Samsung is always a notch ahead when it comes to brand names. I personally don't like Samsung, but it's brand image is second only to Apple when it comes to smartphones

As i said in the earlier post, their ISP seems to be the software only. As for build quality even Sony, htc and LG provide good quality hardware and build but lack good software. Its Its only a matter of time that other companies figure out the software part.
