Well I had a budget of £150. best phones available were the Nexus 6p, pixel or the one plus 3t. The 3t has better ram, processor and and camera. So that's why I bought the 3t

Now when I compare the 3t to the latest phones, even my lost P20 pro, I think I got a great bargain. I do not need to upgrade to a higher spec phone. I do not play game s on my phone, the camera is fine 6mb ram is quick enough for what I have to do. All the higher spec phones are a nice to have but not worth it to me.

since buying the 3t it has made me think, why spend hundred of pound s on new phones when the upgrades are not essential and doesn't improve your productivity anyway.

I hope Oneplus carries on supporting the 3t, it is a really good phone for the price.

yeah sometimes the phone itself gets locked and we have to unlock/the UI crashes. it's a common bugs which will not be fixed don't worry

OP3(T) is EOL, official support ends in November. On the upside there is a thriving development community who should continue support for a while yet, OPO has lineage 16.

Update to latest build and discuss any further issues in the release thread.

If I get 2 years out of this phone I will be very happy. Not chasing the latest spec anymore, as I believe phone have reached there 'max useful spec curvature'. Anything now is just for users who has a specific need from their device, gamers, photographer, videographer etc. but for the average guy being 2 years behind the hype can save a lot of money.

True, but the lack of security updates may start to impact some users.

I would like to bring your concern to a serious issue faced with contacts.

After updating to Android pie... my phone has started to lose all contacts from the phone and they were synced and backed-up and all...up on that all were backed up on my Google but than the contacts is getting saved in apps like paytm and all....that's ridiculous don't you think?

This happened after 1 month from update... automatically the contact card is there but the number from the contact is deleted.

And worst part I don't like the contacts management this thing whenever a contact is saved in the phone the contact has various accounts with other applications such as telegram, WhatsApp, Google duo so a single persons number is than stored 3 times in my phone with same name but 1st with telegram contact card, 2nd with WhatsApp contact card and 3rd with Google duo contact card

If you go trough the contacts settings you can pick the ones you want to be shown (probably you have all of them on). You just need to pick on source (usually the google account is the best option for it).

I'm happy with the Android P. works smoothly. I replaced the battery as after three years it was already dying. it's like a new phone now minus the scratches and normal wear and tear.

That seems to be a known hardware issue, and unrelated to the android update. Better check with support for repair costs. Not sure how it is now, but we saw here reports of lots of users that had it repaired for free even after the warranty had expired.

    developer mode doesn't save settings

tried various Dev. mode options like Bluetooth bit-rate and audio sampling but when i exit that menu and enter again they all go back to what they were on when i started dev. mode.

Another thing I noticed, the vibration mode is not working, the key is set to vibration, but nothing of the cell phone vibrate, is it just me happening?

    That's your budget talking.
The difference between the OP3T and the current midranged phones is enormous, nevermind to flagship level.
