ok so TMobile specific fajita users..if u want to use this new Q preview, u can, u just gotta be a bit tech savvy to do so. I offer no support as I have no time in life anymore so listen carefully..

    must have unlocked bootloader

    flash Q preview #1
let it boot skip setup, reboot bootloader, leave here for now

take Q preview 2 and unpack payload.bin using superr kitchen or do as I did and use payload.bin extractor.after this you have all images of the firmware.

from terminal on PC, using fastboot flash pie boot image that's patched with twrp, from the phone tell it to reboot recovery.

in twrp, from PC copy boot, system, and vendor to phone storage. Before doing so if it's encrypted, format(type yes)..then copy files.

individually erase boot, system, and vendor. then using twrp flash each image, boot, system, and vendor. then format, and do a factory reset for good measure. then reboot to bootloader and using fastboot flash vbmeta from the Q 2 dump u extracted earlier. after this:

    reboot

if all went well u should see Android logo and when it boots u have a less bug version of previous Q.

    only issues:
no calls, just gorilla gargle sound
    dark mode derpy
dev options funky, can't access it but can access the dev option specific settings by a reg settings search
    You CANNOT ROOT.
if u do u lose audio. apparently Q audio crap is in the kernel. I verified this over and over today. the dpi should be 420.. it's 411 like the pixel 3 and the quick settings are too big. to fix this, root with a prepatched twrp kernel and then use adb sideload. install dpi changer app, change to 420. then reboot bootloader flash stock Q boot.img, reboot. while u are rooted audio doesn't work AT ALL. after u flash the unrooted kernel u are good and have audio.
if setup is slow or u experience limited freezing, force reboot. anything seems as if the screen is flashing, reboot.
otherwords, any issues reboot and wait a min after reboot to use the phone. it's buggy but I been using it for about 12 hrs. not bad at all.

smarter minds need to figure out a way for magisk to allow patching the device's prop file to match any changes that take place in the kernel once it's rooted. that seems to interact with avb and or the audio hals. whew that was fun..now, anyone hiring.i need a job in the field..

back to stable, tried Q, I really surprised I found solution for flashing. I was tried several times but unable to flash rollback package and stable version of oos. Solutions -: I was change name of the zip files like stable.zip, downgrade.zip, developer preview.zip, but when I changed the name as it was in original stage I able to flash every above mentioned build. so wondering no one had solution I asked several times. thanks for help friends.

I believe the payload.manifest or something similar is not correct in the zip and not allowing the payload to fully deliver. my manual flashing and mixing of partitions have allowed a near flawless install. and includes features no one has mentioned.

    you on CDMA?
that's how their signal is displayed and its single sim bar.
if you have 2 sims then you will have another set of similar icons.

I already installed Android Q for nearly a week
I have some opinions of it
If you really want to install Q you have to take risk
    Also there have some bugs
    1. OnePlus launcher stop working
    Solution Uninstall launcher update
    2. Night mode not working

    3. invert colour not working

    4. Some bugs on UI , something stop working

    5. Camera recorder lag cannot hold 60 FPS

    6. Gesture bugs

    7. Turn on your phone need more time

    8. Phone is easily heat up eventually battery used up quickly

What have been improved from DP1 to DP2

    1. Fast charge provided

    2. Fingerprint working

    3. New gesture

    4. More Stable

    Overall is not bad

    thanks for reading

    I have found many issues.

    1) Persistent notification about "Add another email account" in Settings.

    2) Sometimes devices freezes on home screen in other launchers. Just reboot the device and swipe on phone icon on lock screen and press the back or home key to load home screen correctly.

    3) Changing gesture navigation mode to Home and Back key will continuously flicker your screen. So Just reboot the device.

    4) Swipe Code on lockscreen is not available.

    5) One Plus removed Theme feature from display and Developer Settings.

    6) Accent color in Developer Settings is also not working, enabling it continuously flicker your screen.

l think by this point most agree that OnePlus dropped a turd of an update. I understand it's a Developer Preview and all that and people can say what they want. But no matter how much you polish a turd (i.e. talk it up, say it's just a DP) it's still a turd.

    JuAnCaStRoP, Jun 20, 2019 :
So what I get from people is that only install it at your own risk. I just wish it was a full beta and not a DP. I don't get why they would release this to the public if is just for development.

It's stated quite clearly in the first post that you shouldn't install it unless you are a developer etc etc etc because
" ITS IN THE EARLY STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT"
You were warned not to install it but OnePlus obviously made the mistake of thinking they were talking to grown ups.

I know that. I just which they would release the beta version instead of the developer version.

I would guess Beta is a way off yet and that they wanted to get the early adopters, especially the app developers, aware of the general framework of Q as early as possible.
With the warnings they gave they probably never imagined, or didn't care, that ordinary noobs like us would try to use it.
They will also be aware of the benefit of getting some form of Q out as early as they could.
