This is a developer preview, its not even open beta yet. As this DP3 is a month old, the system will not allow you to install it if your current OOS is newer. You could use the rollback package in the first post to make your current OOS version older, then install DP3. But read the first post carefully and remember all data will be wiped.

Oneplus should implement message pinning or something in that way so people don't have to ask the same question so many times

I just reinstalled preview 3 for the third time, and previously it was super laggy and constantly crashed, but this time it seems to work perfectly on my 6T, if your having the same problems where it was super laggy and constantly crashing make sure you aren't using any icon packs and make sure dark mode is turned off these are two things I've found to cause most of the problems, I don't use either if these and I can finally use android Q as a daily driver with no crashes.

I'm using the new gestures also

Of course OB Pie will get OTA OB Q because same channel, Open Beta or you also can upgrade via local upgrade (locked bootloader) or via TWRP (Unlocked bootloader). [e]1f609[/e]

Not such a good idea to install a developer preview knowing you use a banking app. Go back to the stable version of OxygenOS. Next time, consider all those things before rushing to a version of an OS that isn't suitable for a daily usage

Okay, I have been on and off Android pie and Android q for about 2 weeks. I'm currently on pie but I'm conflicted about switching back to Q. Mainly for two reasons: Sometimes when I unlock the phone the frames go to like 10 until I put it to sleep then unlock it again. (This happens about 6-8 times a day). And the other reason is the spontaneous app crashes of: YouTube, Netflix, and Instagram. I know that this is not the open beta and that this is meant for developers only, but I still would like to have a couple of people's opinion on what I should do next until the open beta for Q is released for the OP6.

stick with stable OS if having phone available when you need it is important to you. Some here use oneplus 6t as their spare, and they can afford to use the bleeding edge Q...

I want to run Q, but I can only use phone in WiFi, and it won't work for me, so I went back to stable.

preview 2 ran ok for me, but just display resolution just didn't render right scale for me. may go back to Version 2

Read back through this thread as your issue has been answered countless times.

You may also learn that OnePlus has abandoned this project for the 6 series.
