I would generally avoid this unless you know full well what the f*** you're doing... if it bricks, it's your fault. ;)

I put it on my "retired" Essential PH-1...other than the name change to Android 10, if your phone is working with 9 (pie),
and you have the security patches, just chill...you ARE NOT missing anything.
I don't understand the gotta have it the second it is released. I NEVER update a daily driver of anything, phone, computer, machines I work on, with "1.0" of anything! Got burned about 20 years ago...back then, some of the machines we work on, required a software update, which was a board of eproms. This one machine had 10 eproms.
Received a dozen tubes of eproms to update 12 machines. Spent the day pulling the cards, swapping out the eproms.
Less than a week later, they were recalled due to an undiscovered bug, so I had to run out, pull the chips, put in the old ones reconfigure each machine, then a month later the "update" to the update came along. I waited 2 weeks before installing them, and installed it in just a couple before rolling them into the other 10.
In other words...burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me!
Unless you want to really screw around with beta, or release software, wait a few days after release before installing it.
If not, don't complain if it wacks out your phone and you are unable to use it.

Just a piece of friendly advice, from someone who has had his share of software bugs over the last 38 years. :)

My phone is a WORK TOOL, can't afford to have it go down for a beta bug, which is why I mentioned if you don't mind
    jacking with betas....
In my youth, I use to flash every kind of firmware on my pre smartphone days from XDA, but, these days, pretty much at the end of the day when I get home, I rarely touch it....I get enough calls, texts, emails that I've even gone so far to shut
down my work email, and work contacts between 5:30pm & 6:30am during the week, and 24/7 on the weekends.
Some people send me crap on the weekend, expecting me to "work for free" I guess.
Yeah, I guess I'm gettin' old....now STAY OFF MY LAWN! LOL

I am with you. I need my phone to work, so I did try several preview release of q, but Q worked ok if I keep my phone in airplane mode.

You've answered your own question 'latest stable build' downgrade to older build first.
