DP3 for OnePlus 6 and 6T is here!
As the name suggests, this build of Android Q is best suited for developers and early adopters as it is still in an early stage of development. That said, we do not recommend flashing this ROM if you have little to no experience in software development or flashing custom ROMs. Proceed at your own
RISK!
DP2 to DP3 needs data wipe, so make sure you back up your data.
Known Issues
1. While in Ambient display screen, FOD does not appear, the power button needs to be pressed.
2. You may face stability issues.
3. Application compatibility problems
Caution: You need to download Update and rollback builds directly to the phone due to MTP issues that may not allow you to copy the files from PC to the phone
You should understand the risk of BRICKING your phone, read the instructions carefully and be 100% sure of what you are doing, and please always backup your important data before flashing.
Please note: This instruction is only for OnePlus 6/6T, and please make sure the battery level is above 30% and minimum 3GB of available storage space.
MP version = Stable official version
DP version = Developer Preview version
OBT Version = Open Beta version
MP and OBT to DP upgrade guide—via Local OTA Update
Note: This upgrade method will erase all the contents of the phone, please be sure to backup first.
1. Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server.
2. Copy the ROM upgrade package to the phone storage.
3. Go to Settings -> System -> System Updates -> Click top right icon -> Local upgrade -> Click on the corresponding installation package -> upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
4. After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
5. Phone will boot into recovery mode to format user data, it will reboot again after formatting.
6. Update successful.
DP to MP rollback guide—via Local OTA update
