Follow this tutorial about getting the app itself to work.
Then you have to enable the actual lens swap method in the settings by changing it to "long press".

After that, you can swap lenses by long pressing the button that usually changes to your front facing camera and back. You can only swap between a set of two cameras tho. It's either normal/ wide angle or normal/ tele. The default is normal/ tele. To change the second option to wide angle, you have to enable the option "Enabled Camera ID3" in the settings.

I installed DP4 for the fifth time this morning. I had a new app constantly FC'ing on boot. Thankfully a reboot fixed it. I deleted RiCE mod (not compatible with 10 yet) and reinstalled Viper4Android. Google Assistant works, so that makes 3/5 installs. I updated to Android Auto 4.6 and it still doesn't appear in the app drawer. I also tried moving it to system/priv-app without any luck. There's definitely a framework issue going on. I immediately checked OxygenUpdater and then VPN'd to several countries trying to trigger an OTA to no avail. Oh well, at least I'm enjoying the new TOOL with Viper!!!

Welcome to the thread! I haven't used Snapchat in ages as most of the people I followed went to Instagram. The only information I could find on the internet was that it definitely uses camera1 api. Aside from that, the only help I can give you is verifying that the back camera is Level 3 and the front is full camera2 api capable. Screens below.

    Yes, this is normal

    Thank you!

Yeah, that's what I thought. I couldn't find anything else either :/ Also, Snapchat has been refusing to talk about it, even when they came out with that big update a while ago and people started freaking out, thinking that must be it. But it wasn't....

Thanks for the info about the cameras, though. That's good to know at least.

I'm just wondering what all of this might have to do with DP4? Afaik it's Snapchats implementation that comes into play here, isn't it? How would a system update change the way that the app interacts with the camera? It's also not a Snapchat update that has been triggered by updating to DP4 or anything like that. It's a night and day difference taking snaps on pie vs. 10 and this intrigues me a lot. Even the filters and whatever you throw at it in terms of "editing" look way better imo. Weird.

So maybe I've missed the memo but since I've installed the dp4 on my 7pro I've had severe problems with my gps as it's not getting a fix or taking several minutes to find one if at all. most of the time I have only the accuracy from mobile data location. Have any of you faced the same problem and how'd you deal with it?

I believe some people even reverted back to pie for that reason. Unfortunately, I don't think anybody mentioned a fix. Luckily, mine seems to be doing fine.

    Hi guys,
I'm right now on 9.5.11 and would like to go to dp4. Can I flash it thru the updater?
    Thanks

I think you first need to roll back to 9.5.10 or earlier to flash dp4.Once you have done that, you'll be able to flash it through the updater.

What would happen if I download dp4 and flash it?

I've flashed dp4 over 9.5.11 a few times through the local upgrade and have not had problems that aren't already known. do a factory reset after you get it installed to decrease your chances of issues. I have never updated through the oxygen updater though.... also doc knows of a rooted method to update through xda developers I believe.

I believe you should be good to go, but let someone smarter than me confirm it before you do it . I have TMobile version converted to international.
