Announcing: OnePlus Domin8 May 21, 2020

Hey everyone,

Hope you’re staying safe and well!

While we build up to opening up sales in India, we’ve been cooking something up with the team at Fnatic. We wanted to hold a special activity for the gamers in our community to play alongside some of the top cricketers and gamers in India in a one of a kind PUBG Mobile exhibition match series. This is OnePlus Domin8.

This is an opportunity for you to go up against pro cricketers like KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Smriti Mandhana and Yuzvendra Chahal and pro gamers like Dynamo, Ahsaas Channa and some of the top talent from Fnatic like Sc0ut and GodNixon.

Lockdown, though a necessary step, has been hard on a lot of us. Yes, we are hoping to come out of this stronger but we know a lot of you miss out on some classic community experiences we would be having around this time like our launch event, launch screenings or pop up events. While these may still take time, we want you to be able to have an enjoyable experience and virtually interact with pro-gamers and cricketers with OnePlus Domin8. Keeping this in mind, we’ve kept OnePlus Domin8 open to the community.


Here’s all you need to know.

1. Who you’re going up against:
   Pro cricketers: KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Smriti Mandhana, Shreyas Iyer
   Pro Gamers: Dynamo, Ahsaas Channa + Sc0ut and GodNixon from Fnatic
   
   Fun fact - Cricketers and gamers will be playing on a OnePlus 8 Series 5G device. So that’s one good opportunity to check out gaming performance on our latest flagship.
   
   
2. The game modes:
   We’re playing 3 classic games of PUBG Mobile in succession.
   
   The best performing all rounder from each game, ie the MVP of the game will be titled the ‘HyperTasker of the game’
   
   
3. What’s in it for you:
   - Play with pro cricketers and pro gamers, live, on the same map
   - Stand a chance to win some exclusive gifts from OnePlus
   - HyperTasker of the game wins the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G
   
   
4. Registration and the selection process:
   - Registration is now open for Red Cable Club members. Starting tomorrow, 12PM onwards, registration will be open to all.
   - OnePlus Domin8 has limited slots. So all applications will go through a screening process and confirmations will be made based on gaming history and your responses.
   - Once confirmed, we will be sending out confirmation emails for further details, so stay tuned. Each confirmation entitles you to one game of PUBG Mobile at OnePlus Domin8.
   
   
5. What happens if you don’t make it to the game
   - We’re livestreaming OnePlus Domin8 so you don’t miss out. You’ll be able to watch our pro cricketers and pro gamers in action on the 2nd of June. Stay tuned on OnePlus Forums.
