Even without the last security updates, android is pretty saf as long you don't download weird apk's and stuff. Security patches are kinda nice but mostly behind on reality. Haven't see or heard a phone being hacked or so because someone didn't have the latest update.

After observing every system log and keeping the watch nearby as there's a hacker lives nearby and he had even linked his router to mine...which was not removing even using every sort of filtering and blocking...

Sure but the chance it'll be you is very slim to say negligible. I'd say the same as being hit by a meteor and I don't think now I said this, you're gonna wear a helmet.

But you now know where to get your update. :)

Btw... The security update In red doesn't mean there was a threat detected. It just means you're not on the latest version.

I would suggest checking the apps you have installed since most hacks originate from inside the operating system

Yes that's the thing, BTW do you know which is the latest update release... and do have to suspect the apps even from a well reputed devloper and company...

Most apps on the play store are reputable. I would worry more about apps installed outside of the playstore and new, unknown app devs.

As for the update. Oneplus releases new security patches every 2 months.

Yep, that's why last security update release was for July and after that even now in this month there's no update showing and the security update icon has turned red...
