Any confirmation as to whether the OnePlus One will support Ant+? It would be great to hook up a cadence monitor (couldn't fine anything in search).

Yes, it's a wireless protocol mostly for fitness devices if you're too lazy to click the links. :) It'd depend on what Bluetooth module Oneplus are using I think, and you'd need software support in Cyangen.

my opinion .... what are we doing ? we cannot fit anything that comes to mind in a smartphone ( ex: heart rate monitor - i find it totally unnecessary ) .... for God's sake it's my phone , and my camera , and my browser and my game machine and my messenger and my music box and my weather station , my radio, my driving assistant, my calculator, my calendar, my photography studio , my alarm clock ... when it's enough ? Give it some space to breath ....

As for me... I "hate" unnecessary/unrequested app (bloatware).
I love Freedom, ie all things that can allow to a device to perform any task one can imagine, at 360 degrees. Everything OP can add is welcome with a smile and my gratitude.
    Thanks :)
    Only my two cents...

I'm a hard core cyclist and it would be great to see ant+ support in the one+ courtesy of cyanogen. Cadence, speed and other fitness parameters would be nice to see and track on the phone.

havent heard about opo having ant+

isnt it supposed to have the new low energy bluetooth though? (not sure) so then its just waiting for a bluetooth supported device you can hook up with it.

Have you thought about using a Bluetooth SMART / Bluetooth 4.0 compatible cadence monitor - like the Topeak Panobike Speed and Cadence Sensor (if you want to use it for cycling)? These are becoming more popular and are compatible with devices supporting Android 4.3 and above. I'm assuming that would include the latest Cyanogenmod versions.

August 1st Cm 11 nightly added ant+ support. Installed ant+ services, reset my Garmin HR monitor and now it works.

So is ANT+ officially supported by Cyanogen? Apparently ANT+ works off the Bluetooth stack. I was reading in a Nexus forum that you could root the nexus 5 to enable the Bluetooth stack to read the ANT+ protocol but no responses on this thread lead me to believe nothing has been done.

Ant+ isn't bloatware or a.r.t. or in needed. Its a wireless Bluetooth protocol thingy, that's used by cycling equipment and sensors. You can buy ant+ dongles to enable connectivity, but some phones now have it built in
