I know SSD are a revolution and I can't wait until they get more common in rigs, but that's exactly the problem, for now they're to much of a premium. I'm waiting for SSD that are faster, more durable (although you can drop them without breaking them they don't last as long as a HDD) and lower price. Maybe next year Q4 when I'll build my new rig I'll put an SSD, but only if I can get a 2TB one

The Samsung Evo's are pretty affordable I'd say. Even just getting a small capacity one just for your OS is a major major upgrade. I didn't think I'd notice a huge difference but I did.

The motherboard is lost in transit D:
Been waiting 2 weeks and it hasn't been delivered yet. I sent message to the company through Amazon and asked if they have a tracking number. If it hasn't arrived on Wednesday I will file a dispute :S

Thanks man! I love this case. Corsair cases are all I usually consider using when doing a build. They just unveiled some really sexy small form factor cases I'd love to do a build in!

^ This. I never would've imagined SSDs to become this cheap so soon. Those $80 have the biggest impact on your performance, and I don't see a reason not to buy one.

Bummer, man. I'd be terribly pissed off about that. Once I have my mind set on something, I'm a pretty impatient guy - especially if I have already bought it :p

I bought a hybrid drive few months ago and it has a 8GB of flash to cache the most used memories so my PC booth pretty fast and everything I use on a daily bases is aslo pretty fast. I know it would be even better with an SSD but I don't think 500$ is a reasonable price for memory for the uses I would get of it. Maybe in your case it's more useful

Who said anything about $500? My whole build cost less than €1000. My SSD cost €65 and it's well worth every penny eurocent! I reckon it would be well worth it for anyone.

An SSD doesn't speed up your processor, it just speeds up your data loading time - OS and software mostly.
I think that was your question? So short answer: no. It won't allow you to do anything that your other hardware can't handle.

    What he said ^^
The only thing an SSD will do is prevent your system from experiencing any slow downs. It'll stay nice and fast.
