Bit Surprised. But Xiaomi has gone to Flipkart. Oppo to Ebay I think. So to avoid conflict of interest may be they selected Amazon.

My guess is considering Amazon do not have its own warehouse and Flipkart does, the payment of using Amazon as medium would have been considerable low. The total sum of warehouse(if Oneplus is planning to get phone is a large number) plus Amazon's fee would have been less than that quoted by Flipkart. Just an assumption :p

Hmm .... Even all E-Shopping sites would have tried to get OPO partnership.May be amazons pricing would have been more comparitive !

amazon is already established in the US where OPO is minting most of its $$ . So the movement from US to India - of the handsets - would be easier

I think Amazon is acting as a middle man between Openplus one and Indian Users. This may increase the price of Oneplus one price in India.

Because in a large country like India it is difficult for a new entrant to start delivery all over India.Amazon has established delivery network. Moreover payment was a reason for choosing local partner.

It cant cross the limit of 25k... and yea amazon is like a middleman though and evn i exactly dont know why not selling directly to Indian customers... But in the end the good thing is atleast it is finally gonna come in hands of us and there are many other countries waiting for the invites too so we can say India was a lucky one here that we are getting this from a trusted 3rd party site connected to OPO officialy and they are also gona b having service centre over here in India so thats great for us :D :cool::cool::cool:

considering the big billion day fiasco of flipkart, and the bad publicity they received due to it , may have been a factor in deciding it. also me personally am happy they went with amazon

got nokia x in my cart on big billion day for RS699 and it was magically removed from there, so yeah hell with flipkart.

Amazon is one of the best retailer in the world. I don't know why they choose amazon, but I am sure very happy with it. Because they have very good service.

I ordered one external HDD from them and did't received the cover with it, I asked the customer care about it and they refunded 350 INR on the same day.

    Very good decision OPO :D.

One correction Amazon has its own warehouse in many cities including Bangalore. That's what "Amazon Fulfilled" means
