The G2 is the best alternative in the same price range as far as I'm concerned.
The nexus 5 is good too, but has much worse battery life, a shitty camera and the screen is worse.

Nexus 5 with cyanogenmod. Improves battery so you can get 3-4 hours of screen on time. Camera isn't outstanding but not as bad as it was due to software improvements.

Honestly I actually really like the design and beastly specs of the one plus one so even if the price was higher I would buy it , that is if there isn't a wait with this tedious invite system. At the loment though I'm seriously considering the OPPO 7

N5 is decent but battery and camera are not brilliant. G2 in price range and very good.
G3 great but more expensive. OPPO Find 7 a bit cheaper, especially if you can get 10% student discount! but not quite as nice and polished as the G3.
If and when the N6 comes out that could go to the top of everyone's wish lists.

Find 7a has the awesome fast charging capability, while the LG G3 has an amazing design. Personally I think 2k screens are pointless on a phone, it would just drain the battery faster. The 7a is pretty expensive for it being a foreign phone with a company that's nowhere as near as big as LG, Samsung or HTC. They both have pros and cons so it's a hard choice between the two.

I think that I'm going to stick with OP until more details about the Nexus 6 are available until then all I can do is hope to get an invite

I settled for the Nexus 5 2 weeks ago.
I can surely say it has not disappointed me once these past 2 weeks. Also the size is much more confortable for me. Lots of acessoiries available at low prices. Lots of forum info around to mold it into my own preference.

Well it's still twice the price xD i mean..if i'm getting something which costs twice the price of a similar device, i want to be sure that's worth it ! I m considering waiting for a 805 processor

I'd be so happy if there was a version of the G3 with 1080 screen and a lower price tag

So a phone is only "worth it" if it´s good in Benchmarks?
    Sad.
LG G3 more storage (micro sd), IR Blaster, exchangeable battery, better display, lighter in terms of weight, same display size, but a way smaller phone due better design, better camera....
The LG G3 destroys the OnePlus One in every part except Benchmark results (and it loses by a very low margin.. so.. yeah, benchmark > all for you.)

Kinda in the same position! Im thinking maybe getting a slightly used device being like a year old then just waiting until better availability!

Nexus 5 if you like modding and the latest version of android always up to date, Find 7a if you want a bigger screen and you settle for a little less support from the comunity.
