Moto X is a strong option in the Pure or Play edition.

I agree and the 399$ price point is just right MKBHD said he was getting like 4 and a half hours of screen on time very disappointing

They both look great to me. Whoever has the better camera wins (megapixels are not the most important aspect of a camera to me).

Motorola is going the opposite direction of Google, trying to be predominantly direct to consumer and cheaper. I guess they weren't impressed by nexus 6 sales.

Yes but I honestly dont see devs that make 3rd party ROM's and Kernels supporting it as much as the OP2

With the price of the new Moto X and the few future-proof specs missing (ie. QHD, NFC), the "Flagship Killer" moniker is no longer valid

Outside of the 808 vs. the 810 cpu, the X has some nice spec's. But to be fair, the $399 price mentioned is for the base modle with 16gb of memory. Go up and its going to be significantly more expensive. I'm in the middle of this, I do like the idea of it having nfc.

Opo was a definite flagship killer. I got it just by reading the specs and for cm. But OPT is just an upgrade over it. Can't see any killer feature.

I think your are wrong, there will be development support for both devices, Motorola will sell millions of X's.
