My spidie sense is tingling. Do yourself s favor and stay far away from this. It promises big but it vapor hardware. You really are buying a sales pitch. You don't really know if it will be revolutionary or a piece of hipster crap hardware.

I think Jolla is to (pre Microsoft) Nokia the way OnePlus is to OPPO, right?

From what I've read it's some of the programmers who were let go from nokia when microsoft bought them. A separate group of former nokia guys helped make the yotaphone, be sure to check out the yotaphone 2 info out there. Interesting device

You were braver than me. I put in for an invite after a couple good reviews on a tech blog.

Great topic. I'm absolutely getting one, as soon as reasonably available.

I think most of us were skeptical about opo at one time or another. I'm personally glad I stuck it out, I was VERY close to going for the huawei honor 6 which would have been a huge mistake. I've had pretty good luck with crowd-funding and I actually enjoy the product journey.

Just like old Meego, I liked it better than android but it never got the app support. I truly believe the blackberry passport would have a legit shot with a better app inventory.

Yeah, kinda the same story. And about BB, that's true. Its cool they got Amazon appstore support (mostly all, if not all android compatible phones have this) its still not a great replacement.
