I am still using my original Oneplus one (bought it during the invitation system days). The phone still works just as good and the battery life is reasonable. I haven't really felt the need to upgrade, but may do it this year. This was my best purchase ever. Am I the only one still using oneplus one?

Yeah i still use it and i bought it with invitation system too, good old days! I would apreciate Oneplus if they recognize the old costumers who were here since the beggining supporting the brand and buying a phone with a non-recognized brand back in the days. They could give us some kind of discount on the new phone or smt like that because my oneplus one is getting old honestly and i feel the necessity of buying a new phone and i would prefer keep using oneplus

    yes, proud of it.
But in January I installed the custom not official Lineage 17.1. Everythings works very very fine, but not receive sms. Now I have more free time at home due to corona.... and after some check on network it seems there is no solution... Some user has the same problem with official Lineage16 too. So my question is, what OS are you using, the stock or custom? Just to have an address on what is the scenario.
Thank you everybody that will take time to get an idea.

Yes, also proud of it. But … why there is not an actualization of OS from13.1.2 Android 6.0.1 to a newest one?
The first buyers are the poor customers?
I'm waiting someone from OnePlus saying something.
    Many thanks

Are you seriously thinking OnePlus should update a five year old phone ?

If I had seen this two weeks earlier, I would have said YES. But the phone stopped working. I must admit it served its purpose very well for 6 years.

It is a battery issue. Keeps on restarting. When connected to the charger, works fine. It had happened three years ago. Then the authorized service center changed my battery. Now I don't think there will be a second revival as I am not able to get parts for this phone.

It's about 6 years even by now... And no, not really, but the updates could have lasted a bit longer (despite the Cyanogen thing). We took the risk in believing in them and supporting them. There's actually also a bug that apps still think it's running on Android 4.4 which some apps won't accept any more. 5 or 6 years, no, but 3 or 4 would have been nice...

Mine is 5 years old, with original battery, but a new micro. And still works!
But nowadays I have problems with instagram, I can't upload pictures or stories. I installed app again and make a factory reset, but it doesn't work. Any of you have the same problem?

I still have mine laying round. I'm not using it anymore but it still fully works, including the original battery.

I have always used this phone to develop the Oxygen Updater and Cyanogen Update tracker apps on - until the very end when I transferred these apps to new developers. That was in July of 2019.

well, that's something that Apple does very well.

I'm not saying they should though, but they probably could

Mine does. I had to install Lineage OS and cut on apps, but the battery life is still decent.
