Great idea @viraaj11, thanks for your work. Have you considered making it OpenSource? Personally I'm a developer too and I'm a bit careful with apps that require personal information while not being officially supported (by OnePlus in this case); if however I could see (and possibly modify) the code that would go a long way. :)

What I meant was the forum login data. The app surely requires my username and password. And those are (unless I'm mistaken) the same username and password used in for https://account.oneplus.net/ - which would mean that in theory if the app were to steal my information the thief could change my OPO order if it's active. Including the shipping address. Or if I have unused invites those could be stolen. Stuff like that.

I don't believe the app DOES do anything of the kind. But I'd rather know it doesn't than believe so.

don't login... you can still read but not reply. when need to reply, use the browser version and access via your preferred and trusted apps... :)

but if i'm not mistaken, @viraaj11 basically put an android webkit to provide the browser.

How the hell do you suppose to use forum without logging in? You are saying that it's dangereous to ever write usernam and password in any app.

Of course I can always use the browser for logins but then I could just continue using the browser for everything. That's not the point.

If it is an android webkit then great, it should be safe. But without seeing the code I just don't know for sure. And even if the app itself is fine, I'd like to see whether I see any security holes that other people might use.
You misunderstand what I'm trying to say. I'm not saying that the app is a bad idea or that you shouldn't use it. I'm saying that I would like to know what's happening with my data. Being a developer myself I understand what can be done and I would like to make sure that I'm not risking anything here. As long as the code is closed and I don't have anybody to call to responsibility if something bad does happen (and a forum username isn't enough here) I'd prefer to be careful.

    Sorry for raging xD
I know that it's serious issue with stolen info and being careful is not enough. Even if you try being careful, if you want to stay anonymous you have to stop using internet...

This isn't about staying anonymous either. It's about protecting my orders and my invites. And I know I'm being a bit paranoid about it. ;)

Nice job :) I'm wondering... Do you have any good and complete tutorials to learn how to create Android apps? Each time I find one, it either doesn't use Android Studio or is only a "make your first app" tutorial.
