    [Update]
    //
    We have sent a confirmation email to all our selected attendees. We look forward to hearing from you.

    To all those who did not make it this time, please don't lose hope! We will have more editions of Open Ears Forum in the future. Not to mention, numerous community events.
    //

    Greetings everyone,

    We’re in a constant endeavour to engage with and develop the OnePlus community in India. And one of our major focus points is to enhance the relationship between OnePlus and the developer community.

    Earlier this month, we brought our product and community focus together for 5G Apps of Tomorrow, a project that aims at recognising and nurturing innovation from developers around the globe. This takes our idea of creating together with the community forward in the right direction.

    With this edition of Open Ears Forum, we aim to discuss how we can better support developers in building great software as well as see what new programs and initiatives we can explore with our community.

    [How to Apply]

    This is the second Open Ears Forum in India, almost 10 months after our first edition. And we’re glad to bring the Open Ears experience back to Goa. This edition of the forum will take place on the 4th of May. You can check your availability and start applying at www.oneplus.in/open-ears

    Like last time, we will be taking care of travel and accommodation for our attendees. (For Indian citizens only)

    Marking
    Each answer in the application will be marked out of a certain number of points.

    The Mystery Code
    We’ve added in a little something to the application process which could get you some extra points. It’s simple. All you have to do is to visit the application page on the 4th of April between 10 AM and 3 PM and search for our mystery riddle. If you can solve the riddle, mail your answer to india.marketing@oneplus.com with the subject line: ‘Open Ears Code’ from your OnePlus registered email id.

    Note that the mystery code is not mandatory.
    Good luck and Never Settle!

    Mystery Riddle Revealed:
    A shoutout to all who attempted this part of the application. It was fun to see the excitement build up during the hunt for this riddle.

    The process of locating the riddle was as follows:
    • Hit inspect to view the page code
    • Scroll to find the riddle hidden within the page code. Here's what it looked like
    mystery riddle OEF.png

    Now, a lot of you have mentioned that the riddle was tricky. We reviewed it once more and we admit it was a little confusing. So here's how we're marking our Open Ears Mystery Code submissions:
    • If you managed to find the riddle and if your answer was 'Oreo', you will be getting extra points.
    • Over and above these extra points, we are having a special consideration for applicants who have answered with the following:
      a. 200 trophy points
      b. 65000 messages and 20480 likes

    Thank you to all who applied! We will select the attendees for this edition of Open Ears Forum and notify them on the 10th of April.

    Let me clarify :D
    Oreo is the obvious guess here. But the challenge was to find out the numbers that get you to Oreo or the number of trophy points related to Oreo. This part was a little confusing.

    Since it was confusing, we decided to give some points to all who gave the basic answer which was Oreo. But extra consideration over and above those points to all who answered with 200 trophy points or 65000 messages and 20480 likes.

    But do remember that the riddle is not mandatory and your application is not solely dependant on this riddle. All the best.
