    Hi All,
My Google Mail and other google apps keep crashing today. I have cleared the cache and have restarted the phone without any luck. Is anyone else experiencing this today?

    Hi there,

It seems this is related to a recent update to Android System Webview. It seems like uninstalling it fixes the issue. This Android Police post gives you all the needed steps to do so:

When I go to open my apps they force close. Not all of them, but about half. I have forced closed them, cleared chache, and cleared data. I restarted my phone and took the SD card out. Still nothing works. Any ideas?

Only about an hour ago, fitness pal wouldn't open and now tiktok won't open and other apps just keep rebooting/crashing nothing is working as smooth as normal. I have a oneplus 8 and have never had this issue. I tried restarting my phone. Nope, then turned it off, nope. Then I tried clearing the cache on each app that was crashing but it doesn't seem to work. I deleted fitness Pal and reinstalled it and so far that has worked. Did the same with Tiktok but that isn't working or to other apps!

What is happening? What should I do to fix this?

    Thanks!!

Heck yes!!! Chatted with One Plus and they told me to wipe data and do a hard factory reset.
While COMPLETELY unacceptable, I had to do it!

Try below steps for uninstalling Android System WebView updates,

Launch the Google Play Store and go to My apps & games
Open the “Installed” drawer and tap Android System WebView
    Tap Uninstall
    Confirm “Uninstall”
    Reboot device

If above steps dint work, try below steps,
Open system settings in your mobile > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Android System WebView > tap the three-dot overflow menu in the top-right corner > Uninstall updates > OK.
    Reboot your device

Check if the issue is resolved or not

Delete the updates from 'Android System Webview' from play store and turn off automatic update for Google play store for now

Solved it for me for other app crashes

This is the fix! Do NOT factory reset if you are reading this! Thank you so much!

I rely on my email daily and using the browser was just not cutting it. I managed to get some apps working by using a second user profile on my phone but this solved it all!

It seems like that is the only fix the guys at OP know. Literally for every problem they ask you to fully reset your phone. Bloody annoying
