I was excited to see what the official specs and price would be after seeing the initial leaks of the form factor. To put it bluntly I'm utterly disappointed in the final specs and the price. A 1080p screen, seriously? Two different specs of phone, why not just have one model with 6gb of ram and the choice of whatever storage you want, I'm baffled by that. 8gb of ram is just not needed and if they went with the 6gb alone it would've kept the price down. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be sacked in the morning, just utterly stupid.

Anyway, I'm happy with my OP3 and it runs great so I'll stick with that for another year and see what kind of device they bring out next year.

See you all next year when they hopefully get it right.

Nope. Staying with 3T. Nothing special, except minor upgrades in OP5 that could convince me to swap with OP3T.

I'm extremely happy with my OnePlus 3T, and OnePlus as a company. I think they're on the right track for sure.

I don't want to give up my 3T, but maybe I can convince my girlfriend to adopt my 3T, and I'll upgrade to the 5.

Ordered two 128GB OP5, upgrading from OPO for me and my wife, which still works well after 3 years.

After seeing the device, I went down to my local carrier (that sells oneplus) and bought a brand new 3T 128GB and I am happy with my decision.

I love my 3T. Not buy 5. it's more like iPhone than oneplus. they really should have worked in design rather than copying iPhones. will skip this one.

My previous phone a LG/Google Nexus 5 ( the old one) was dying so I was about to buy a oneplus 3, however the 3T was rumoured, so the Nexus limped on for a few more weeks.
I then purchased the oneplus 3T 128gb on release, first off as a stop gap until something else came along, naturally i kept an eye on the new oneplus 5 as it was being leaked.

This thing however is not worth it, I still stand by my previous comments on here about it being an Iphone knock off.

Why is it $479 in the US and €499??! so people who live in Europe and everywhere else are just randomly screwed... It's a bad decision to bump up the price every time, and now to just rub it in the face of half the market? Pretty stupid

It will be interesting to see if it Sells, however i havent seen any sales figures for the current/previous oneplus devices.
£450 is a lot of money to hand over for a phone, especialy one from a small unknown such as Oneplus.
One plus's unique selling point was (relatively) high spec device at an affordable price now im not too sure

    Nope for me.... Why ?

Iphone design copy, Don't like the antenna hiding, looks ugly !

I bought the One plus 3 for 399 € so 100 € more for the One plus 5. The price is getting hot, 100€ more in a year ? really ? OK snapdragon 835 and dual camera, but it cost too much.

Battery difference 200 mAh only ?

Will one plus 6 cost 550 € One plus 7 600 € and over and over ...? You did say in a video Carl, there's a lot of manufactures who release good phones for good prices....

Lame excuse, and not true. First of all taxes are a lot different in every country in Europe, Germany has 19% VAT and Hungary has 27%...so this pricing is not based on the taxes. People pay different amounts in each state too. So not a valid argument. Also converting 499 euros to dollars would be 555 bucks. Which is a huge difference in itself just switching currencies. What can possibly justify this? 1+ is probably trying really hard to get a bigger footprint in the US and decided to throw everyone else under the bus, that's the simple reason.
