Asus 8 is the latest flagship with a bold move - compact size. Will it go big?

Compact yet powerful....a perfect combo of a phone is this Asus 8...phone manufacturers including Oneplus, should work more towards such designs focussed on one handed Usability..till 6 inches they're fine.. nothing beyond that, in my opinion.

Zenfone 8 doesn't have a Flip camera system.
Only the Zenfone 8 pro does.

The device has excellent specs and a good form factor. But i feel that it lacks a personality. The design is so basic amd looks like a cheap android device

In my view what matters is performance and technical characteristics.
Another very important factor is, easy and reliable service.
The simpler appearance can even be positive because ostentation has never been my characteristic.
My 7 Pro for example is covered with a protective cover so no one even knows the brand and model, but when I send and publish my photos ... Then the difference shows.
This Asus matches my preferences very well minus that flip camera mechanism in Pro model which is definitely not pretty.
The price also needs to be evaluated very well.
    Warm Greetings.

Internals of this phone with Oxygen OS is what I have always expected from OnePlus. I don't need the IP rating, I need a fast phone with fluid, clean UI and non-buggy timely Android updates.

Seems like the 3.5mm jack is not entirely dead yet as various 2021 phones have included them. I always like the 3.5mm jack as opposed to using a USB-C to 3.5mm jack cable.

I don't think it will sell, especially with the younger generation. I have an iPhone 12 Mini for work. As a work phone, the size is perfect. But for browsing or doing social media... It's too small. Otherwise, it's a good phone. In fact, Apple has cut back on production because it hasn't sold very well. But maybe ASUS will prove the market wrong.
