It is almost the same OnePlus One but cheaper. Cause the only difference the display.
Is OnePlus going to drop down the price for OPO?

Price of Asus PadFone S plus with 64GB will be $302

No they won't, as they make very little profit per device.

But i think they will have to. The $48 difference is too much.
They will be under under the pressure of competitors

Looking at specs I could find the battery is smaller, and some minor bits like the selfie cam is worse. So yea it should be cheaper than the OPO.

Battery is smaller cause the display size is 5". For 5" the 2300 is enough.

    I think they'll be fine.

As of now, ASUS is hardly a dent in the market, nor does it have a large enough share of the market that it'll actually serve as a threat to OPO. OPO definitely won't rework their whole business model pricing just to address one competitor that isn't affecting them much

Its nearly 2/3rds though, is that half and inch that power hungry? The maths don't seem to work out there for me.

And I consider OPO battery to be a little small... I think I would have to pass on a smaller battery. Galaxy s6 proved that even a new processing package can't make up for a smaller battery

Unless it's an incredibly efficient screen and system, 2300 is too low. You've seen the complaints on the new Galaxy phones and they are working with a larger battery and only slightly larger screen.

Besides OPO I have another 5 inch phone with battery's capacity is 2100 and it works two days. That's why 2300 will be not bad

The combination from Smartphone+Tablet is really nice and Asus is a good company so why not...if you want both...Tab and Phone...
For only a phone i would go for the Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML)...

That depends on a number of things including processor, resolution, etc. This phone is mostly identical aside from screen size, and that .5" is very little difference compared to the battery reduction.

they are releasing the same phone almost 2 years later, the only way i see they can compete is with the price because it doesnt have cm or such a big development community

Is that a time travel paradox like how can I go back in time to stop from being born if I succeed and am never born.
