My experience with unlocked phones is to NEVER go to the ATT Store...hopefully you have the same size SIM card from whatever device you had or have. Same thing happened to me with the OPO and OP2. LTE worked initially, went to ATT store for new SIM....boom back to 4G/HSPA+ you go.

but... as the guy said.. it seems to just be too new and they said they hadn't heard anything from the manufacturer (sounds like manufacturers have to give networks a heads up so it 'officially' works) so hopefully that process happens in the next week or two

yup, texting and calling works, and again I was able to take screenshots of 4G/LTE before they changed the IMEI, which confirms what the tier 2 support guy said that it's obviously compatible (by virtue of bands and that it works) but it's not officially recognized in their system

Why does the sim size chage have anything to do with it? This is a third party ATT store, I have no choice but to get a new sim? I am ging from OPO to 3...

size change has nothing to do with it (I don't think..), it's the IMEI change which basically comes up in their system as a phone they don't recognize yet

    well poo

Not sure what you mean by changing IMEI.. I guess I never had that option because I immidaitely had to get a new SIM card before I did anything?

if you want it to 'just work' either try using the old IMEI number (might lock the sim if the system recognizes you just came from there) or try the same thing with a new sim card (register the old IMEI number and pop it into the new phone)

IMEI is the phones serial number on the network and is tied to the SIM card.

I went from OP1 to OP3, same sim card, sim slot size is the same in both OP1 and OP3.
I read in a thread that LTE worked using the sim slot 2.

I didn't have a choice when my SIM didn't fit due to size

to update - I just called AT&T and they were able to get it changed in <5 mins. Call, ask them to use your old IMEI and put a note down indicating your new IMEI. i'll keep you all updated if I hear anything more
