I can confirm that the YouTube app is behaving erratically ever since the latest patch. The app will freeze and stop responding frequently or video playback is very slow, as if the phone's processor is struggling with an extremely high-demand task.

🛑 Try turning 'ON' battery saver mode 🛑

    ........2 SOLUTIONS.........(try 2nd then 1st)

    1) When i turn on the battery saver mode it started working normal without any glitch ( using for 1 hours). But when i turn off the battery saver mode OFF it start lagging again.

    2) Just record some audio in stock oneplus audio recording app and save it, problem solved.

If this work tell me the result

I cleared all catche memory, restarted the phone and switched on battery saver mode then it's working fine. But this is a temporary solution

For more when you switch off the battery saver mode, if lag started again than use 2nd solution
Turn off battery saver>open oneplus default audio recorder>record approx 10-20 sec audio>save it
Then watch that lag is gone even after turning battery saver OFF.

Guys for those of you who are facing serious media lag and system crash after the updating to oxygen os 11.0.6.7,
Disable your Google Assistant and Voice recognition.
Go to your Google app-> More-> Settings-> Google Assistant-> Voice match. then disable voice recognition.
or you can simply ask your assistant to "turn off Google assistant".
This will fix the issue until OnePlus comes with a solution

Thanks so much - this worked for us (can't quite believe such a simple solution fixed it, we've spent 3 hrs restoring to factory settings, clearing cache, restarting etc and on the phone to oneplus help)

The method you use will not work after reboot
