See what LTE bands the provider of your choice is using in the Wikipedia article (scroll down to Oceania/Australia) and compare the bands with the specs of the OPO. If they are the same, you can use the OPO fine in Australia, if not, LTE won't be working.

The international OPO version is compatible with most carriers around the world.
As @mopsert stated these are the bands OPO works on:

    Connectivity
    • GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
    • WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/8
    • LTE: Bands: 1/3/4/7/17/38/40

    http://oneplus.net/one#specifications

Contact your carrier and see which bands they use, but you probably will be able to use it even with LTE.

    Question answered, closing thread.
