Auto-brightness too aggressive!

Auto brightness in OP7 is too aggressive... in dark rooms the display becomes unreadable! Auto brightness function reduces excessively the display luminescence! I think it is important to implement a function to give to the customer the possibility to set the minimum level of brightness, to avoid the phone control sets it too low.

    Come on OnePlus!

Same here - after Android 10, in certain occasions, the slider just goes exactly back to where it was after I drag it to the right.

For me, either it's too high or low always. It's broken on oxygen OS 10

well adaptive brightness according to Googles k implementation of it should learn your preferences over time. obviously one plus altered it. on my pixel phones it was the best auto brightness I've had in years

No... the sensor works, and works fine. In my opinion, and in my specific case, it's a software problem. Software is not optimized to drive correctly the display brightness... it is optimized only to have the best battery consumption.

But... the software reactions to a total dark room, are too aggressive, and so it (the software) reduces too much the screen brightness level.

I would like to be able to set the minimum level of screen brightness, and the auto control doesn't have to drive the brightness lower than the level I choose.

I had a pixel too... and the adaptive brightness was perfect, because software auto-learnt user preferences. I think that on OP7 the adaptive brightness doesn't have an auto-learn functions. That's why I would like to be able to set the minimum level of brightness the software doesn't have to drive lower.

that's because OP has optimized auto brightness. if they left it stock Google it should act like the pixel did.

I have to rectify my last comment... at the moment with beta 5 the auto brightness is less aggressive than before, but it is still too aggressive! I cannot understand why OnePlus doesn't let us choose the minimum level of brightness we want, and only above that level the auto control intervenes!

I cannot understand why OnePlus doesn't implement an auto learning function on the brightness level, based on the customer setting (as pixels phones)! I am 99% satisfied of my OnePlus 7... without this stupid issue I could reach 100%. But I think we will never have the fix for this problem. I'm so disappointed for this...
