    Hey, Ryan!

I am facing the same issue with OnePlus 6. Did you find the fix already? I just got mine today, tried that feature but it seems like it's not working. I had pixel 3 before this and it has this night scene mode icon on the camera screen that pops up that you can click to switch to night mode. I've noticed though thay sometimes the non-night scene takes better pic than the night scene. I wonder if the camera detects only if a night scene is highly needed. But I don't know. It never worked on mine. Brand new, and its not working. Tried restarting, safe mode, never worked. I always go to a dark room to check but it never worked. Chatted with Customer support and asked to clesr system cache but i was hesitant so i just did the safe mode. I think it's a more of a software issue than hardware.

No. The Auto Night Scene Detection feature still has never worked for me. I have to turn it on manually every time I want to use it.

Hmmm... oh well, you're not alone. Hopefully OP will hear us... but what troubleshootings have you done so far?

Sorry, that reply should be for Ryan. So what happens when the auto night scene is on? what do you see on your screen?

The feature is turned on in settings, but it just never actually activates automatically when it should, at least not that I can tell.

And how can you really tell that it's working and if it really needs the night scene feature? Should we expect that it turns on when it's dark, dim, at night? i wonder if AI evaluates the scenario if nighy scene is rrally needed. i tried going out tonight and took a pic and it turns out that the non-night scene shot is better than the night scene (which I did manually).

Have you contacted OP? What did they say? It's weird that others don't have this issue.

I just chatted with OnePlus Support, and they said this is a software issue. It will be resolved in the next software update. Rest assured it will be solved. Crossing my fingers!

Same issues here. Had the issue on Tmo firmware and on international firmware.

I cannot tell a difference between Night Mode (TMO) or Night Scene (OP) with auto on or off or in actual Night Mode/Scene.

Why are they named differently anyway?

In fact, normal photo mode looks less noisy than Night.

But, again, no difference between TMO and OP firmware.
