Auto Rotate Issue Apr 22, 2019

If you didn't install any recent apps that does this, you know the drill - the phone is defective, replace or fix it.
Hope someone with experience of this bug can chime in.

There could be a bug. I've noticed my screen auto rotates even though that settings is turned off. I usually minimize the apps to return to portrait mode.

I've also noticed this issue when compressing pictures. After troubleshooting with brilliant person, it seems that the orientation code for landscape is 90° vs 0°.

Open your phone dialer then type this number *#808# and then a new pop will open scroll down and click on Sensors Self Calibration put your phone on horizontal surface(flat surface). Then click on all the four sensors, one by one atleast 4-5 times so they can calibrate and your problem might get solved.

the same is happening with me as well on OnePlus 5T. don't know the reason. the auto rotate gets disabled automatically

I have one plus 7 Pro. It's auto rotate is rotating anti clock wise but not clockwise. I have started facing this issue just today since evening. It's very problematic because I use my phone for gaming and it is troubling me a lot.

I have same issue with my Op8pro. its very random. at first, I thought it is because of the QHD display, i changed it. still happening. Then I noticed the android webview comment, i tried that, still no good.
Right now, I am using a 3rd party app called Rotation Control. Seems to be working decently. Not perfect but working. Hope Oneplus can find where the bug is coming from

I've just updated to oxygenOS 11 (global) stable for oneplus 8 pro and I can confirm that the rotate issue when plugging/ unplugging charger has been fixed. Thank you Oneplus Devs! You're the best! [e]2764[/e]️🤘
