Auto rotate not working via OnePlus 7 Pro

  1. Dakshvarshneya , via OnePlus 7 Pro , Apr 23, 2021 :
After updating my phone to oxygen os 11, the auto rotate screen has stopped working and screen just won't rotate.
The setting is enabled however still the phone doesn't respond. Sometimes it does but 90% of the time it doesn't.

Try this. Hold the side power button until you get the power off screen. Touch and hold that (power off symbol) down until you get a "Reboot to Safe Mode". Hit OK. Once it's rebooted you're going to be in safe mode. Try your auto-rotate button and see if does work.
Just reboot to get out of safe mode.

Hi, facing the same issue. I tested booting in safe mode. Auto rotate seems to work there. Tested using an image in gallery.

I had the same problem after update to 11. Not sure why, but after I uninstalled Battery Doctor app, it began to work again. So it seems to be a power saving issue.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and ask... does tapping "Rotate" on the bottom of the screen possibly rotate it?

It happens after u put ur phone to charging once. Until you Restart it won't be fixed (temporarily).
Even my games which work on landscape have started opening in Portrait mode...

Since you have the rotate button at the bottom, it means you have auto rotate turned off in the quick toggles/

Some apps might not be supporting auto rotation. Still if you have problem, try clearing caches as your phone might be slow and taking time/response out for rotation
