So I got a phone with a destroyed screen and I need to retrieve some textmessages from it, I have a mybackup backup but I need to buy the pro version and I'm wondering if there's any other way to do it.

Haha :) can't think of anything else apart from trying to do something over adb but I don't know if you could do that...

if you have dev mod and debugging enabled, then you can do this from command line with OPO connected to your computer:

    adb pull /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/ /smsbackup

otherwise, use SMS backup & restore (with mouse connected via OTG cable, that is):

Hm didn't work, maybe I can do something with the backup I have available? Can I find the sms things in that or do I need the pro version of the program to actually do that?

are you rooted? you need root permissions to access /data partition.

Yes im rooted but what im thinking is that the phone is locked with password so it won't connect properly, or some settings changed when I unlocked my twrp.

i'm not 100% sure, but you should have access if you boot into recovery and run adb commands. if not, booting modified recovery img with root permissions will definitely allow you to pull the files withint recovery. you can boot into recovery as long as you have debugging (which i assume you do, since you have twrp flashed), so broken touchscreen issues shouldn't be a problem.
