Dhananjay45 , via OnePlus 8T , Nov 15, 2020 : I don't think this is normal. I paid 40+ thousand to buy a best display phone. This is what I get. My 8T isn't producing blacks as it is supposed to. Check the diff between Oneplus 6 and Oneplus 8T Please don't say this is normal.
SobinZz , Nov 15, 2020 : Did you set brightness at low? If yes, you're facing a yellow tint issue(or any other colour i dont know the colour exactly) which can be fixed via future updates. Get in touch with oneplus support to make them notice this issue.
Sheppards , via OnePlus 7T , Nov 15, 2020 : Does the 8t have DC Dimming as an option? did you try a soft reset already?
Dhananjay45 , via OnePlus 8T , Nov 15, 2020 : Both the phones were set to max brightness. This can be noticed even at low brightness
Dhananjay45 , via OnePlus 8T , Nov 15, 2020 : Does a soft reset fix this.? I don't think this is a software issue.
Dhananjay45 , via OnePlus 8T , Nov 15, 2020 : So are you saying this issue is only on few phones and OnePlus provides updates keeping this in mind .? I feel this is a hardware issue rather than software
Sheppards , via OnePlus 7T , Nov 15, 2020 : Sounds funny, but i have seen something like this on my 7t. I'm using the black theme and black background for the keyboard, and one time the black was grey for some reason, and it has gone away from a soft reset. Must have been somekind of glitch
Harshil__07 , Nov 15, 2020 : So you're saying it's okay to get a shitty display when you pay less money?? You're making a mockery of your own beloved brand mr. fan boy and talking about money the 8 pro having a price tag of 60k has the same display issues.
Tokolozi , Nov 15, 2020 : Maybe check my signature first to see what device I use before you call me a fan boy. My last oneplus was 3 generations ago.
Harshil__07 , Nov 15, 2020 : i own a 8 pro and i have the same issues they just keep saying that OTA will fix it but it wont.
Harshil__07 , Nov 15, 2020 : Then that's even worse, commenting sarcastically when you dont even know about the issue.
Tokolozi , Nov 15, 2020 : Oh noes, and what you going to do bout it? The issue is well known, not just among oneplus users but just in general with AMOLED. Some are worse some are better. Low brightness amoled hue issue are well known.
Dhananjay45 , via OnePlus 8T , Nov 15, 2020 : Do you have the same issue.? I mean isn't your phone producing deep blacks just like mine.? Any HDR content I watch I could see my phone not producing deep blacks. I just want to make sure if this is the case on few phones as well or just mine.?
Harshil__07 , Nov 15, 2020 : i know man but samsung have addressed it you can read about the note 20 ultra and the green tint on it. Oneplus are marketing it as a feature of their display instead of tuning it and same thing about the black crush too it doesnt produce deep blacks as it should.
Harshil__07 , Nov 15, 2020 : Yeah same thing i think it also has a grennish hue along with the deep black issue (also known as black crush issue)
Dhananjay45 , via OnePlus 8T , Nov 15, 2020 : Won't OnePlus do anything at service center? I was expecting they would replace my device or at least the display. This is my first ever OnePlus device.
