not sure about you but most of the shots i have seen shared were all in daylight.. very few night/ low light shots. and honestly, most people would post their best photos... not the average ones. who knows, it was the one decent night shot over a few hundred taken.

back when OnePlus was not launched but some photos were picked, personally, i saw some had better shots under lowlights compared to the one using OnePlus. its not to say the camera hardware is bad, i feel the apps needs improvement.

also... when compared under similar low light conditions, i can personally say the note 2 camera performs better.

Can I use Slow Shutter mode on my 38R? I mean, without using the Color OS.

Mine isn't too bad, certainly significantly better than my nexus 4 was. I'm on the liquid smooth lollipop Rom (don't know if it matters) and use Camera Zoom FX app.

The things that worked for me were to turn the setting on that waits until your shaking has reduced before it snaps a photo and to be sure the focus is on auto. For some reason the app kept switching the focus to infinity when I was trying to take a macro shot, but resetting it to auto again usually works.

It's not replacing my dslr or even a decent point and shoot like a lumix, but better than all the other phones I've had up until now, including the nexus 4.

    You're absolutely right.
I had a Nexus 5 before (stolen :-(. Believe me, the low light pics from the N5 were much much better than the One. HDR+ and OIS made a huge difference. Also video was significantly better with almost no shake and no constant hunting for focus (yesterday theOne hunted for focus every few seconds, completely ruining the video).
I tried all the modes and multiple cameras, some were better, but none could do as good as the N5.
I can honestly tell you that I take much fewer pictures and almost no videos with the One because it's so unreliable.
My suggestion- sell the One and buy a 32gb N5. It's a better choice.
