Been having this horrible SOT and battery life in general for a few days now (running clean flashed 5.0.2).
I keep saying in some threads, my battery life in nougat was great, I could just charge until 80% and when I reached 20% at the end of the day I would get 5-6hours SOT. Now I can only get that amount of SOT if I use it continually (starting at 100% battery to ~10%.
If I just want to get that SOT in a day use, I just can't lol.

Do you happen to have Android Wear? If so, try to disable cloud sync from the app settings.

Mh ok. I am just asking that because my battery as been much better after disabling that option in Android Wear app. But I can tell that still, standby battery drain is a problem in Oreo. Did you already try to clean install Oreo and clean cache?

No I just updated my phone from nougat. And yes I cleared the cache from recovery. And I bet resetting or clean install won't fix this thing for sure 101%. OnePlus seriously needs to do something to fix this. Thinking about reverting back to nougat. [e]1f62d[/e]

Please try that before rolling back to nougat! It should help a bit at least.

No problem!! Keep me in loop! I hope that helps( it should because if you don't clean install some nougat stuff should still be in the phone)

I am frequently getting this notification in my all new OnePlus 5T.
    It says
    "Potential heating issue"
"Google play services has been processing the data."

    Please help!

then it might be a false trigger, probably a bug,but consider clearing cache of Google play services in settings, see if it helps.
