    all of the today battery went from 60 to 25 % in less then 30 mins. upon checking i could see file manager took 54% of the total battery . any suggestions please

    yes. occasionally. I have to restart the phone after keeping it off for sometime to let it cool down. not sure why this happens

    ok but airtel and vodafone heating issue is not there only in jio heating problem start but in lower budget phone jio is workong fine and no heating issues

    Sometimes this is caused by the media scanner getting stuck on a file, or things like that. There's many cases of it on Google.

    For now I'd just force stop and clear cache of File Manager app, and then reboot your device. See if that stops it from draining.

    Also, there's no need to clear cache in Recovery if you have the OP6 because A/B partition removes cache partition. You can try it if you have another OnePlus device however.

    Android System is clearly the culprit here...

    I had a similar problem after updating to 5.1.4. So much so that I ended up doing a factory reset (since clearing cache and disabling background activity here and there did not help).

    Everything seems ok now. The phone shows close to 6 hours SOT with 35% of battery power to spare.
