    Hi everyone

battery percentage is not accurate on my phone.
it completely dies when it reaches to about 8% which I need to plug to the charger for a while before I could power on the phone.
on the other hand 100% is also not accurate. it easily drops to 98% in an hour without using the phone.
I have noticed that if I put the phone to stay in charge for like 20 mins after 100%, it takes some hours to drop to 99% even with some heavy use.
So I am seeking the best way to calibrate the battery without rooting it.
Thanks for your answers in forward.

For non rooted phones the battery calibration is done via cycle livesnof the battert:

    1. Let your phone die
    2. Charge it while powered down to 100%
    3. Turn it on charge to 100%
    4. Let it in charge for 20min even when 100%
    5. Turn phone off charge to 100%
    6. Go to recovery and clear cache
    7. Charge the phone in power off to 100%
    8. Turn it in repeat steps from 3. To 7.

Do this in 3life cycles, so once u do step 7. Twice use your phone normal, and repeat 3 times.

Report back after this, if its not helping in this forum is a recovery tool. It will wipe your phone and install new original OOS with new batterystats file.

If this doesnt help u can use warranty OP will RMA the phone and they can replace or recalibrate the battery manually

Im getting weird results too. I charge the phone up to 100 percent. When i take lead off it says only 4 hours battery remaining.
After i lay the phone idle for hour it then jumps up to 21 hours and goes up further. why are the stats all to pot!!

Thats normal. Android calculates battery left depending on what you're doing at the time. For example, if I was gaming my battery life would go down a lot and therefore Android would take the increasing drain as an indication of how long your battery will last. However, when you leave it dozing for an hour its draining barely anything and as time goes on the estimated life goes up because its draining barely anything. So its not accurate in the sense that it can telepathically tell when your battery will die but its fairly accurate as to when its going to die based on the activities taking place at that moment in time

No it will not damage your battery, the battery itself has mechanism to protect itself from overcharging.

This process is for recalibrating the battery stats located in the OS.

The recovery tool is in OP3T general or development section

you can not calibrate a lithium battery. if it still happens after a factory reset it's a hardware issue. Android doesn't save a battery stat file for at least 5yrs. it polls the batterymanager service to get real time info.

The ways described are not to calibrate a lithium battery. They will calibrate the software showing you the battery level.
