I once asked here in the Portuguese forum community how to properly charge the battery of my old OnePlus 5 and they answered the following: Do not let your battery reach less than 5% to charge and I have not completed charging 100% because the battery behaves better between 5% and 95%! This is correct? Thank you!

I had been researching that same question. what I've been reading here and on reddit, is 20% - 80% I'd where you want to charge it. I've been charging mine around 40% to 100%. the main thing is heat. the 7T is supposed to be really good keeping heat away while charging and mine has been great, never even gets warm. heavy use while charging is probably not good long term practice. I've been turning mine off most times since it will charge full in only 15-20 minutes.

Battery tech has already evolved in last few years . so the myth that battery should not be discharged below 5% and should not be full charged to 100% is not accurate .

modern smartphones use lithium polymer battery . those memory effects don't present on current cells . and those 40-60 rules doesn't apply here. just few things you have to keep in mind i.e don't use battery in high temperature as it will reduce your life span of your battery . every battery is rated for certain cycle . one cycle doesn't count for 60 to 100% . its equivalent of 0 to 100% . a typical battery have 300-500 cycle after then it reduces its capacity by 20% . so every year and half your battery health reduces by 20% even if you charge 5 to 95% or full charge don't matter .. but if you use your phone in high temperature then your battery health will drain faster . and don't put your phone in charge for over night , your phone has safety features but its electronics and it can fail .

i mostly charge when ever i can and mostly morning i used to charge to 100% and even after 3 year i didn't face any issues with the battery . i only kept in mind not to do over night charge and not use toomuch in hot summer outdoors .
