My battery life has deteriorated over the past six months. No amount of updates nor following the community suggestions has helped in any way. My SOT is 3.5hrs and the whole battery drains by around 8 hours. Add to that it is heating up like the OP2 while charging and gaming. I was extremely happy for the first 2 months when the battery was lasting for almost 1.5 days and then deteriorated rapidly. Help if you can!

3.5 is pretty good in my opinion, heating up while charging and gaming ? ain't that supposed to be normal ?

try to do a factory reset. may be some app you installed draining your battery.
worst case , you have to change your battery. if it's still under warranty , go now.

See. I know it's normal. Any phone normally gets warm. but mine is becoming hot. Can be sensed almost close to causing a burn.

See. I've used OP2 before OP3T. that's why gave the comparison. OP3T never reaches as high a temperature as the OP2. Mine is behaving oddly I think :(

The first two are Android System and Screen. But the drain happens even when it's on standby. I've tried keeping it on Airplane mode. But even then the drain happens even on the slightest of use.
Yes, it's within warranty. I bought it in February 2017.

Ok. I had one plus one for 4 years then I switch to five.

for my previous experience regarding battery issue solve by below way, if battery is not faulty.

how to clear cache and give hard reboot?

    1. turn off your phone.
2.press power and down volume together for 3 to 5 sec, until boots as recovery mode.
    3. scroll and select wipe data and cache
    4. next select wipe data and then select yes.

as your phone is under warranty, you can go to service center and asked them to do it for you.

if still you not able to it. let me know I will explain again when I have log in via laptop. [e]1f609[/e]

    1. Cleared cache through settings.
    2. Wiped cache through recovery.
    3. Did factory reset.
    4. Facebook was being shown as the hogger, had uninstalled it.
    5. Switched off automatic backup.
    6. Cleared Google Play Services.
    7. Aggressive doze and hibernation on.
    8. Wiped cache and partition and then did factory reset.
