My battery life has been significantly reduced after the update. It barely gives be 5 hrs SOT, whereas it used to give aroune 7 hrs SOT before the update.

I agree. I also noticed a significant battery drain with 9.0.2. I have battery saver, deep clear, low brightness, data saver, wiped cache, Lift Up Display off and don't use my phone very frequently and still nothing makes a difference. It's so frustrating. I also really care for my battery, no whole night charging, maintain the level between 40-80% and one a month drop it to 0%.

I call BS on your entire post. Always on isn't an option so how exactly did you shut it off?

    You're posting for internet attention

Battery performs fine when one takes the time to set the apps correctly as well as stop putting crappy apps on the phone in the first place.

Listen mister, you seem that you want to give the impression that you are a professional when it comes to battery life tips and tricks. Would you please help me instead of nagging?

And you seem like one who just likes to complain rather than fixing your own self imposed problems. You've clearly gone around turning everything on not understanding what they actually do over doing the setting on each app you've put on your phone, just by your own posting.

Post screen shots of what apps you actually have running, I bet you have tons of social media apps running that are not properly battery optimized and are not optimized for Pie either.

Whining on the internet about your self imposed issue is to what end?

Restrict your apps or uninstall all those crappy social media apps. Your allowing them to run in the background constantly and using them, that is clear.

Your issue is imposed by you

My battery is still working fine before and after the update.....

You are using apps not optimized for Pie, you are using an early release of Android. I don't care what your battery was before or after the update, you have an issue with the apps you are installing and failing to take 5 minutes to optimize them correctly for the OS you are using. That's your issue.

Contact the app developers and tell them to update their apps to work with Pie or remove them. Any and all Facebook apps are known battery hogs and poorly optimized for any Android version. If you insist on keeping these apps and too lazy to do the work to them, then that's your issue stop whining about it on the internet.

Yea I know that too. I never had draining issues after an update except this time.
Same daily use as always (no gaming) but ~20% less battery when I get home.

I already cleared cache and that stuff.
    hm.
It even drops at night in airplane mode 7%
    without the update ~3%

If didn't happen to you, doesn't meen didn't happened to others. I received the update for almost 4 or 5 days now and I don't want to install it because many users complain about battery life issues and other bugs. What I am tried to say to is that to don't judge people just because you are lucky and your phone had no problems after this update.

    Here my stats are visible.
How can I optimize my apps?
    Which apps should I uninstall?
What do you think I am doing wrong what is making my battery worse.
I came to this forum to seek help, not to whine, have understanding.
