    Here you go:

    Turn off your OnePlus 5

At the same time, hold the Home button, Power and Volume button

Wait until the phone vibrates and the OnePlus logo shows up

Release the Power button, but still hold the other buttons

Now highlight the Wipe Cache Partition option and use the Power button to select the option

Go down to Yes and use the Power button to select it

Press the power button to select Reboot System Now

The OnePlus 5 will now reboot and clear the system cache

I still have to charge my phone twice a day with moderate usage. I'm ending the day at around 20% or so. I get barely 4-5 hours SOT.
On overnight standby, I am losing around 30% battery and the major culprits seems to be Android System and Android OS. I slept last night with 95% battery and woke up with 66% after 8 hours of sleep. This is beyond ridiculous. I have tried to wipe my cache multiple times, it doesn't help at all. Are there any other fixes? Otherwise I'm seriously considering returning this phone, the battery has been troubling me ever since I got it.

I have similar power problem last night.
Usually I would charge from 10-20% back to 99-100% before sleep. Then the next morning will drop about 4-5% only and still seeing 93-94% battery. But this morning, my battery dropped from 99% to 58%, 41% drop during night while should have only minimal backgroup apps running.

Anyway, if the Wipe cache will fix, I will do it.
Just a bit correction to tian12345, you should just hold the power and the volume down buttons.
No need to hold volume up button nor home button.
Below is the link got from Dr. Google easily how to boot to recovery mode also if still having trouble to do so.

Will see after wipe cache the coming 2 days will have battery draining problem over night.

To fix issues after any update. wipe the cache partition.
    1. Turn the phone off.
    2. Hold Power and Volume Down
    3. English (or pick any language that you want)
    4. Wipe data & cache
    5. Wipe cache
    6. Yes
    7. Reboot

If the issues persists then do a factory reset.
Settings >> Backup & Reset >> Factory Data reset >> Reset phone.

    No, I haven't done a factory reset.
It's Android System & OS on standby which are draining my battery heavily.

I had the same problem last night. 99% dropped to 58% over night. Before the OS 4.5.8 update it was just 4-5% max dropping over night. Something is wrong after the 4.5.8 update.

By the way, I just see in another thread saying Wipe cache in Recovery mode will help fixing this. You may try that.
I just try, and will see how it performs till tomorrow.

I did a factory reset as well. Issue still persists. Lost 15% in standby in just three hours. This is ridiculous.

+1 for unnecessary battery drain on 4.5 8

I lose 10% in 6 hours overnight with no applications open.

Me too i'm experiencing faster battery drain with 4.5.8, and already did cache clearing for apps and in recovery. Please fix it is very annoying and a bad user experience such a worse battery performance

Yah. It's pretty bad since 4.5.8. Did a clear cache a few days ago and didn't help. Getting less than 5 hours of SOT compared to 7+ hrs before the update. Didn't install any new app since then. Wifi used 8% of my battery and 6% it phone idle.
