My week old op 8 pro is getting barely 4 to 4.5 hrs of SOT with minimal usage, no games, settings is kept at FHD+ 120HZ. With people encountering so many issues with this phone thinking of replacing/refund as I still have some time. Any suggestions

Hey man . You should wait for updates. After two os updates my battery issues have been completely addressed. In fact the display issue has been fixed too(punch hole bending) . I think you should wait for a bit

Thanks for the advice, how much time would it take for the updates to come into play...any idea?
I like the phone as such, but the batter drain is a real issue.

Well I'm not aware but the 10.5.12 update did the trick for me. I still loose battery but it's down to 3-4% overnight. I think you should study your battery usage maybe it's an app causing the problems. I'd suggest a factory reset too. And keep everything updated even the apps from play store. If you're enrolled in a beta group for an app get out of it. Helps sometimes.

thanks allot shanker, I depleted my battery to 0 and let it shut down, then recharged it to full. This lead to reduction in consumption.
    current OS is 10.5.12
all my apps are updated, and no beta test apps.
I shall as you suggested I'll wait and see for a few days.

Hi Team, I just bought an 8 Pro couple of days back over the weekend. I have not upgraded yet to Oxygen OS11 but I am still facing battery drain issues / average SOT. Perhaps it is not so bad as others but I get an SOT of hardly 4 hours without even any gaming. I haven't played a single game over the last couple of days. On the Display front, am on QHD+ and 120Hz all the time. As this seems to be a well known issue, am not posting any pictures but please let me know for any suggestions here. Am a bit sceptical about updating to OS11 as I think this could worsen the battery drain. I have been through 2 full charging cycles so far.

4 hours sot is pretty standard on an 8 pro.
I use 120hz and fhd+ and I at Max get 4 hours and 30 mins.
Update to oos11 it's actually better in battery performance. The 11.5 one is genuinely great at battery backup

The major issue is that the battery drains very quickly than expected.

    I loose ~10-20% battery when I'm asleep.

To counter that use these options.
    Works wonderfully.
And in case you don't want to use this.
A reset keeping your internal data intact should do the trick.
Keep in mind that kind of reset only allows internal data to be backed. All your applications will get deleted.
Also try deleting your cache once
