Battery drain /slow charge/heat Mar 14, 2018

    Hi all,

    Hoping someone can help. MY OP2 is draining battery v fast, this morning went from 100% to 0% in less than 6 hours with zero usage. Data was in only (no wifi/bt/location services). Charging is also running slow (14% per hour a cording to accubattery). The charger passes the charger test in mechanical mode (*#808#) and I have recalibrated the battery by draining it fully and recharging completely.

    Does anyone have any ideas before I resort to trying a factory reset ?

    Edit: also tried Google app permissions as suggested elsewhere and I am running OxygenOS 3.6.1 unrooted

    Edit 2: forgot to mention that for charging I have tried 3 different usb-c cables.

    Have you gone into settings, battery and looked at what is using the battery? An app might be stopping the phone from sleeping.

    replace the battery.and install the original rom frm oneplus website.u will get good results.i have tried.now its good.

    don't replace battery with new one wait for 4 5 day and then still facing the same problem then uh should replace with the new one and Charing problem is like uh have to change the changer or the charging cable i have the same issue related to this !

    firstly enable doze mode from developer option
    then degrade your applications to factory version.
    see your running applications and make sure you have almost left over of 1.7gb of ram.

    I have battery issues, heating issues too & I don't even game on this device. It's barely been 2 years.

    No updates, battery & heating make this the first and last OnePlus for me. There's no point of those specs if I can't browse Facebook and Twitter in peace!

    I've come to conclude that I'd rather go for a little less specd device if software updates are guaranteed like the pixel.

    just reflash clean oos ...no need to new battry or any thing....tht problum face almost every one plus 2 user cos the last os update sux....after reflash make your phn full charge ( 100%) thn use it till battry become 0% ...switch off phn n charge till 100% (dont on the phone till its charge 100%)do tht procedure 2 to 4 time...n your battry is fully celebrated....( all the app on playstore of battry celebration n repair r useless..so dont install thm n dont install any cleaner cos all r useless)

    I have no problem with the last update and it was nothing more than a security update. But my battery was wearing out, so I changed it with a new battery and my phone is as good as new.

    buddy i m not telling abt tht small patch .....the update which make 3.6.0 to 3.6.1. After 3.6.1 u can see almost every user start complaing for battry issue..i have too same issue so i just formate n reflash oss...n its start working fine ....
