So I got my OnePlus 3T yesterday morning and already it feels as though my battery is draining a lot faster then I would expect. I've attached a screenshot below. Basically I use my phone quite a lot on the bus to work (a 20 minute commute). Then I work for 8 hours with extremely minimal use (pulling it out to check the time or for any notifications). By the time I get off duty my phone is already at around 20-25%. This doesn't feel right to me.

As you are using it for only one day, it takes some time for the battery to settle down. Also the cache needs to be build up (while you are using it) and this also costs power.
Use it for a couple of days and you will see it will improve.

After every update, cache emptying or factory reset it will drain again as it needs to build everything up again.

Thanks, I'll see how it goes. I had the OnePlus 2 before and it was having fast battery drain. I figured that with the upgraded battery and the AMOLED display of the OnePlus 3T that it would be a lot better. I remember my OnePlus 1 easily lasting a day and a half...

If You seriously need much battery if you are out of station or home.

    1.Activate Aggressive Doze mode option.
2.Turn off Back up option in setting. You can turn it on as you wish as per requirement. BUT WHEN U NEED MORE JUICE KEEP IT TURNED OFF.
    3.Try clearing cache in storage.
    4. Try clearing data of Google play services in app option.
5.Do full recycle of battery from 0 to .
6.Use on screen button rather than backlit.
    7. Use dark mode as and when you can.
8.you can also keep Volte off if not required.

You can use this solution when you seriously need more backup or you dnt wana plug all the time.
You will be getting full day with 30% left battery from 9 am to 11 pm

Even I faced same problem. So did following:-

    1. Remove unwanted apps. Even if you do not use app, it still consumes battery.

    2. Disable Auto Sync in Settings>Accounts

    3. Disable Auto Backup & Restore.

    4. Disable Any Unused :-
    Bluetooth
    Wi-Fi
    Hotspot
    Location
    NFC

    5. Reduce Screen Timeout Time To 15 secs

    6. Use Dark Theme

    7. Use Black Wallpaper.

    8. Disable Auto Update in Play Store

    9. Remove any Power Saver or Battery
    Boosting Apps.

    10. Make sure mobile network signal is full.
Also If you are using Wi-Fi you have full
signal. Else device will consume much
more power to search for better signal
    strength.

    11. Disable any Geatures Control.
Continuous power is consumed to detect
    gestures.

    12. If you have option to share Internet via
USB tethering. Always use it instead of
Hotspot Tethering. It will not only provide
better internet speed but will also charge
    your device simultaneously.

    13. If possible always turn on battery saving
    mode.

    14. Do not clean out recent apps.
As it takes more power to load any app
    from the scrath.

    15. Check which app is using more battery
    in settings and remove it.

16.Uninstall any antivirus. If you download
apps from playstore. Antivirus suck out
huge power while running in background.

Above steps will save battery power upto 3.5 Hours more.

I myself have tested and saved my life

Sorry, I do apologize. I'm still new to this OnePlus community. I just wanted to post my issue, didn't see any other posts that answered my issue.

It's seems you were right, without changing anything it's starting to feel as though the battery drain has decreased. Thanks.
