Earlier according to my usage which is very less I charged 89% in nougart and it used to last 25..26 hours because i use phone less now after oreo has come it last very less like 12..13hrs. Battery is draining at a very fast rate.
will oneplus fix this in any further update?

I faced battery drain back when I used jio sim. I'm using airtel and Vodafone now. Battery backup is pretty good now.

after u update ur device, just go clean cache ...and wait for sometime for it to adjust from the day it was updated thats how the update works. not as the time u updated ur device system.

I have cleared the cache data which was like 5..6gb, and restarting the phone now, but how does this help in battery draining issue?

similar problem I'm facing in my mobile after Oreo update and I'm observing since couple of days battery took 35-40 miutes to charge from 90-100% and draining very fastly. Now battery backup is 10-12 hrs on standby and while on continuous use its giving only 6 hrs. consulted with OnePlus Bug forum still didn't received any reply and didn't got any updates.

I wipe cache from settings and recovery mode regularly and am still facing the problem of battery drainage. It's been 8 days since I had the update, which I think is quite a good time for the update to settle? In nougat the battery backup used to last for 23-24 hrs, now I have to charge my phone twice a day, the backup lasts for only 10-12 hours. I am spending the same time as I used to spend on screen.

I don't know. I have noted that since yesterday it became better. The consume has now slowed down. Maybe it was the system looking for something. I don't know. You should wait a little more and see if it continues or slowes down. It does get better for me.

it clears up.minor bugs after an update ( clear cache) but if u still experiencing battery draining one thing u need to consider is look for any battery tips to activate beast mode of ur oneplus device, i went all thru nougat and oreo versions i never had experience or even once battery draining issues... i made a battery saver tips. i charge my battery and follow healthy battery tips too...

exactly the same problem is with my mobile and I talked to customer service executives & they are suggesting to visit service centres for further help. even they (executive) couldn't be able to solve the problem.
I hope they will fix this bug ASAP or provide a very stable Oreo update that will be very smooth for every Mobile

I did a factory reset after the Oreo-update, someone suggested it in another thread on this forum. That solved the issue with the battery for me.
