Battery Issues OnePlus 6T

    NoahSN, May 20, 2019 :
    Hi OnePlus community!

I have a small issue regarding the battery life of my OnePlus 6T.

I hear YouTubers talk about 6 - 7,5 hours of screen-on time, while my OnePlus 6T only lasts about 4 hours of screen-on time.

I have Bluetooth, cellular and WiFi turned on all day, so that might influence the screen-on time, but still. 6,5 hours compared to 4 hours is a big difference.

Can someone please help me out with this and explain what's going on?

    Thnx!

When was the last time you calibrated the battery?

What do you mean with 'calibrated' the battery?

I wouldn't ever "calibrate" the battery as that usually involves using rubbish apps.
Bluetooth will of course drain the battery a lot, especially if you have all 3 turned on all day, Bluetooth, WiFi and cellular.

I have the 6 and get 6-7 hours screen on time as I only have whatever I need enabled at the time I'm using it. So therefore nothing is ever running that doesn't need to be.

Calibration of the battery would not involve any apps, AFAIK.

The thing is, I have a smartwatch. Therefore, my Bluetooth needs to be turned on all day. I also like to keep mobile data on, because I change locations frequently, and I of course don't have WiFi when I'm on the go (on my bike).

Drain your battery to close to 0, charge it for about 6 hours past 100% (overnight is best) and your device should optimize the battery in this time resulting in better battery draw. Do this every update.

Ah, thanks! I usually use my phone all day till it's around 5% and then let it charge over night. I think that that should do the job. It unfortunately doesn't work for me.

I see you do a lot of Snapchat. That could also be the reason.

Well, I'm not that often on Snapchat. It's mostly running on the background.

That'll drain your battery more than you know.

I'm aware of that, but don't want to remove Snapchat. I use it to stay in contact with friends.
